Arcane is a currently airing animated streaming television “event series”[2] set in the League of Legends universe.[3][4] The series was announced at the League of Legends 10th anniversary celebrations.[5] It was developed and produced by Riot Games, with animation services by Fortiche Production, a French studio based in Paris. Originally set for a 2020 release, the show was rescheduled for a release in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[6] It was scheduled for a simultaneous November 6, 2021 release on Netflix and China’s Tencent Video website,[7] with the series broken into three episode “acts” being released over three weeks.[8][9]
