Shovel Buddies (2016)
Shovel Buddies is a 2016 American drama comedy film written by Jason Mark Hellerman, directed by Simon Atkinson and Adam Townley. It stars Bella Thorne, Kian Lawley, Alex Neustaedter and Anton Starkman. The film had its world premiere at South by Southwest on March 14, 2016. The film was scheduled to be released through video on demand on October 11, 2016, by Awesomeness Films and 20th Century Fox.
Sammy (Phillip Labes) has died of leukemia leaving behind one final wish: ensure his body is buried in his favorite football jersey. Kate (Bella Thorne), Dan (Kian Lawley), Jimmy (Alex Neustaedter) and Jimmy’s little brother Lump (Anton Starkman) join the adventure of a lifetime as they spend one unforgettable night fulfilling their friend’s final request.
