Gears 5: Hivebusters-CODEX

Hivebusters are specialist Gears deployed against the Swarm. Their modus operandi is to let themselves be captured by the Swarm and taken into one of their Hives. Then, they fight their way out. They are essentially elite exterminators.

The Hivebuster program was the brainchild of Victor Hoffman, who theorized that killing a Hive would kill all of the Swarm creatures connected to it. Over the strenuous objections of Hana, Hoffman tested his strategy by assembling a team of misfits and criminals, Team Scorpio, and offering them the chance to redeem themselves by undertaking the first Hivebust. The plan was a success, and Team Scorpio opted to stay together to undertake further missions.[
