Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein (English: You say something, I’ll say something) is a 2002 Indian Hindi romance drama film directed by Ravi Shankar. The film stars Fardeen Khan opposite debutant Richa Pallod. It released worldwide on 28 June 2002, and opened to a mixed response from critics and public.^[3] The story is based on two lovers who are unable to start a relationship because of their family’s feud and ancient grudge. The storyline is a remake of the Telugu movie Kalisundam Raa, and features similarities with William Shakespeare‘s classical story, Romeo and Juliet.

Two feuding neighboring families are brought together to celebrate the wedding anniversary of Vishnupratap Singh (Vikram Gokhale) and his wife (Farida Jalal), much to the dislike of Rudra Pratap (Sharad Kapoor). During this get together Abhayendra Singh (Fardeen Khan) falls in love with Mangala Solanki (Richa Pallod). Abhayendra comes to know of the background of the two families’ feud, and makes attempts to reconcile the two families – with disasterous results.
