Professor Shanku O El Dorado (Professor Shanku and El Dorado) is a Bengali science fiction drama film directed by Sandip Ray based on Nakur Babu O El Dorado, a story of Satyajit Ray.[1][2][3] Dhritiman Chatterjee portrayed the protagonist character of Professor Shanku.[4][5][6] The film released theatrically on 20 December 2019.
This is adventure story of the genius scientist and inventor Professor Shonku to the heart of the Amazon forests in search of the mythical city of El Dorado. One day a typical Bengali gentleman Nakur Chandra Biswas alias Nakurbabu comes to meet him in Shonku’s house in Giridih. He lives in Makardaha. Shonku realises that Nakurbabu has supernatural power having ability to read others mind and to see future. Nakurbabu warns him about the upcoming incidents of Sau Paulo. Seeing his extrasensory power, amazed Shonku goes to Brazil with Nakurbabu to join a science conference and the mystery starts which ends in a fabled city in the Brazilian Amazon.
