Hard Tide (2015)
“Hard Tide” is an independent UK Thriller that tells the incredible true story of a small time criminal in a British seaside town who, on the eve of a turf war, is forced to go on the run with a neglected 9-year-old girl after a tragic accident. The film is a moving and inspirational thriller/drama with breakthrough performances by up and coming actor Nathanael Wiseman and newcomer Alexandra Newick, about the courage that people can find in the most difficult of circumstances, and the transformative decisions we make. With echoes of “London To Brighton”, “Shifty” and “Sweet Sixteen”, or as journalist Adnan Sarwar quoted, it’s As If Shane Meadows had made “LEON.”
An unlikely friendship is forged when a small-time drug dealer and a neglected nine-year-old girl are forced to go on the run together.
