Kantri (2008) [Hindi DD 2.0 – Telugu 2.0]

Kantri (Telugu: కంత్రి) is a 2008 action thriller film starring Jr. NTR, Hansika Motwani, Tanisha Mukherjee, and Prakash Raj. The film is directed by Meher Ramesh, who is a protégé of director Puri Jagannadh . The movie is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and C. Ashwini Dutt. Movie run more than 100 days and became commercial success. The film was dubbed in Tamil as Pokkiri Paiyan.[1] A small portion of the film is inspired by the 2006 American film Just My Luck. The song 123 Nenoka Kantri was partly sung by N.T.R. Jr. himself. The film initially mentioned to release on 1 May 2008. However, it was released a week later in order to avid competition with Parugu.

An NRI returns to his village with his family with a mission to better the lives of the village natives. But in a sudden turn of events, the NRI is left helpless, as a fellow villager steals the money and flees. The villager is now the head of a huge business empire, which is a result of his corrupt activities. The NRI returns, this time for vengeance.
