Enthiran<\/b><\/i> (lit.<\/abbr>\u2009Robot) is a 2010\u00a0Indian Tamil-language<\/a> science fiction<\/a> action film<\/a>[2]<\/a><\/sup> written and directed by S. Shankar<\/a>. The film stars Rajinikanth<\/a> and Aishwarya Rai<\/a> in lead roles; Danny Denzongpa<\/a>, Santhanam<\/a> and Karunas<\/a> play supporting roles. The soundtrack album and background score<\/a> were composed by A. R. Rahman<\/a> while the dialogues, cinematography, editing and art direction were handled by Madhan Karky<\/a>, R. Rathnavelu<\/a>, Anthony<\/a> and Sabu Cyril<\/a> respectively. The story revolves around the struggle of scientist Vaseegaran (played by Rajinikanth) to control his creation, an android<\/a> named Chitti<\/a> (also played by Rajinikanth), after Chitti’s software is upgraded to give it the ability to comprehend and exhibit human emotions. The project backfires when the robot falls in love with the scientist’s girlfriend (Rai), and is manipulated by Bohra (Denzongpa), a rival scientist, into becoming homicidal.<\/p>\n

A brilliant scientist builds a humanoid robot to protect mankind, but things go awry when human emotions are programmed and inner turmoil causes the robot to act against him.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
