An odyssey through time and memory, centered around a place in New England where\u2014from wilderness, and then, later, from a home\u2014love, loss, struggle, hope and legacy play out between couples and families over generations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

During the film, the screen is often subdivided into multiple panes, presenting events from different time periods simultaneously.
