Bioscopewala<\/b><\/i>\u00a0(English:\u00a0Man with a Bioscope<\/span><\/i>) is an\u00a0Indian<\/a>\u00a0Hindi<\/a>\u00a0drama film directed by Deb Medhekar and produced by Sunil Doshi. The film stars\u00a0Danny Denzongpa<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Geetanjali Thapa<\/a>\u00a0in lead roles and had its world premiere at the 30th\u00a0Tokyo International Film Festival<\/a>\u00a0on 28 October 2017.[1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0The film is an adaptation of\u00a0Nobel Laureate<\/a>\u00a0Rabindranath Tagore<\/a>‘s short story\u00a0Kabuliwala<\/a>\u00a0and is scheduled to release on 25 May 2018 in India.[2]<\/a><\/sup>The Official Trailer of the film was released on\u00a0YouTube<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0Fox Star Studios<\/a>\u00a0on 8 May 2018.[3]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Bioscopewala<\/i>\u00a0has taken forward the timeline of\u00a0Kabuliwala<\/i>, the original story written by\u00a0Rabindranath Tagore<\/a>, from the 19th century to somewhere in the 1980s during the\u00a0Taliban regime<\/a>\u00a0and changed the profession of Rehmat, the central character, from a dry fruit seller to a man who goes around showing films to children through his Bioscope.[2]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n

A woman meets her dead father’s old friend, who was the operator of a Bioscope show that she loved in her childhood. Connecting India and Afghanistan, a story of love and cinema unfolds.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
