God of War Ragnar\u00f6k<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is a 2022\u00a0action-adventure game<\/a>\u00a0developed by\u00a0Santa Monica Studio<\/a>\u00a0and published by\u00a0Sony Interactive Entertainment<\/a>. It was released worldwide on November 9, 2022, for both the\u00a0PlayStation 4<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0PlayStation 5<\/a>, marking the first cross-gen release in the\u00a0God of War<\/i>\u00a0series<\/a>, and was released for\u00a0Windows<\/a>\u00a0on September 19, 2024. It is the ninth installment in the series, the ninth chronologically, and the sequel to 2018’s\u00a0God of War<\/a><\/i>. Loosely based on\u00a0Norse mythology<\/a>, the game is set in ancient\u00a0Scandinavia<\/a>\u00a0and features series protagonist,\u00a0Kratos<\/a>, and his now teenage son,\u00a0Atreus<\/a>. Concluding the Norse era of the series, the game covers\u00a0Ragnar\u00f6k<\/a>, the\u00a0eschatological event<\/a>\u00a0which is central to Norse mythology and was foretold to happen in the previous game after Kratos killed the\u00a0Aesir<\/a>\u00a0god\u00a0Baldur<\/a>.<\/p>\n

God of War Ragnar\u00f6k<\/i>\u00a0is a\u00a0third-person<\/a>\u00a0action-adventure game<\/a>. It features an\u00a0over-the-shoulder player-controlled camera<\/a>, and the game is presented with no\u00a0camera cuts<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0loading screens<\/a>.
