Tekken 8<\/b><\/i>\u00a0(Japanese<\/a>:\u00a0\u9244\u62f38<\/span>)\u00a0is a\u00a0fighting<\/a>\u00a0game developed by\u00a0Bandai Namco Studios<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Arika<\/a>.\u00a0Bandai Namco Entertainment<\/a>\u00a0published the game for\u00a0PlayStation 5<\/a>,\u00a0Windows<\/a>, and\u00a0Xbox Series X\/S<\/a>\u00a0on January 26, 2024. It is the eighth canon release and tenth overall entry in the\u00a0Tekken<\/a><\/i>\u00a0series. The game story mode, titled\u00a0The Dark Awakens<\/i>, takes place six months after the events of\u00a0its predecessor<\/a>\u00a0and focuses on the final confrontation between the main characters, father and son\u00a0Kazuya Mishima<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Jin Kazama<\/a>, with the latter wishing to kill the former in order to end the chaos within their family lineage. The game’s story features 32\u00a0former and new characters<\/a>, each with their own narrative that contributes to the overall story.<\/p>\n

Six months after the disappearance of\u00a0Heihachi Mishima<\/a>\u00a0[a]<\/a><\/sup>,\u00a0Jin Kazama<\/a>, alongside\u00a0Lars Alexandersson<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Lee Chaolan<\/a>\u00a0of the Yggdrasil Rebel Army, ambushes\u00a0Kazuya Mishima<\/a>\u00a0in Manhattan. The operation fails as Jin is defeated and the ensuing battle kills millions in the city. Amidst the chaos, Kazuya, now openly revealing his devil form to the public, announces a new King of Iron Fist Tournament, where representatives of various nations fight one another. The winner’s nation will be reprimanded, while the losing nation will face destruction.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
