Ready or Not<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is a\u00a0tactical<\/a>\u00a0first-person shooter<\/a>\u00a0developed and published by\u00a0Ireland<\/a>-based VOID Interactive and released for\u00a0Microsoft Windows<\/a>.\u00a0Ready or Not<\/i>\u00a0follows the operations of a\u00a0police<\/a>\u00a0SWAT<\/a>\u00a0team in the fictional city of Los Sue\u00f1os,\u00a0California<\/a>, in the midst of a crime wave. Ready or Not<\/i>\u00a0was released through\u00a0Steam<\/a>\u00a0early access<\/a>\u00a0on December 17, 2021. It released in full on December 13, 2023. The game was well-received for its atmosphere and gameplay, and has been considered a\u00a0spiritual successor<\/a>\u00a0to the similar\u00a0SWAT<\/a><\/i>\u00a0series by\u00a0Sierra Entertainment<\/a>, but has also been criticized for its tone and the handling of its subject matter.<\/p>\n

In\u00a0Ready or Not<\/i>, the player takes the role of\u00a0player character<\/a>\u00a0David “Judge” Beaumont,[1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0the leader of a\u00a0police tactical unit<\/a>\u00a0pitted against criminals. As a tactical shooter, realism is a central pillar of gameplay, with both players and enemies being killed in only a few shots; therefore, tactical strategies and careful planning are emphasized.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
