A sequel to\u00a0Alan Wake<\/a>,<\/i>\u00a0the story follows best-selling\u00a0thriller<\/a>\u00a0novelist Alan Wake, who has been trapped in an alternate dimension for 13 years, as he attempts to escape by writing a\u00a0horror story<\/a>\u00a0involving an\u00a0FBI<\/a>\u00a0agent named Saga Anderson. The game was released for\u00a0PlayStation 5<\/a>,\u00a0Windows<\/a>, and\u00a0Xbox Series X\/S<\/a>\u00a0on 27 October 2023.<\/p>\n

Compared to the first\u00a0Alan Wake<\/a><\/i>\u00a0game, which was an action adventure game with horror themes,\u00a0Alan Wake II<\/i>\u00a0is a\u00a0survival horror<\/a>\u00a0game played from a\u00a0third-person perspective<\/a>. Players play as Alan Wake or Saga Anderson in two separate\u00a0single-player<\/a>\u00a0stories, which can be played in any order the player chooses; although the opening sequence and ending sequence of the game can only be played as Saga and as Alan, respectively.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
