Blasphemous 2<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is a\u00a0side-scrolling<\/a>\u00a0Metroidvania<\/a>\u00a0video game<\/a>\u00a0developed by The Game Kitchen and published by\u00a0Team17<\/a>. A sequel to\u00a0Blasphemous<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(2019), the game was released for\u00a0Windows PC<\/a>,\u00a0Nintendo Switch<\/a>,\u00a0PlayStation 5<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Xbox Series X and Series S<\/a> in August 2023. The game received generally positive reviews upon release.<\/p>\n

Like its predecessor,\u00a0Blasphemous 2<\/i>\u00a0is a 2D\u00a0side-scrolling<\/a>\u00a0Metroidvania<\/a>\u00a0action-adventure<\/a>\u00a0game. Players assume control of the Penitent One, a silent knight who must embark on a new adventure in a new kingdom to prevent the rebirth of a curse named “The Miracle”.[1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0The story of the game is set after the “Wounds Of Eventide” update of the original game.[2]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0As with previous games in the series, the world in the game is filled with deadly traps, difficult\u00a0platform sequences<\/a>, hostile enemies and\u00a0boss characters<\/a>,[3]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0though players will also encounter other\u00a0non-playable characters<\/a>\u00a0will either offer aid to the player or send them on\u00a0side quests<\/a>.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
