Aliens: Dark Descent<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is a\u00a0real-time strategy<\/a>\u00a0video game developed by Tindalos Interactive in collaboration with\u00a0Disney<\/a>‘s\u00a020th Century Games<\/a>\u00a0and published by\u00a0Focus Entertainment<\/a>. Set in the\u00a0Alien<\/a><\/i>\u00a0universe, the game was released for\u00a0PlayStation 4<\/a>,\u00a0PlayStation 5<\/a>,\u00a0Windows<\/a>,\u00a0Xbox One<\/a>, and\u00a0Xbox Series X\/S<\/a>\u00a0on June 20, 2023. It received generally positive reviews from critics.<\/p>\n

In the year 2198, on the moon of Lethe, the USS\u00a0Otago<\/i>\u00a0prepares for a shakedown. Meanwhile, on Pioneer Station, the shuttle\u00a0Brettonville<\/i>\u00a0docks to drop off some cargo. An infiltrator releases deadly Xenomorph aliens from the crates who begin to massacre the crew. Noticing a cargo weight discrepancy on\u00a0Brettonville,<\/i>\u00a0Deputy Administrator Maeko Hayes recommends the ship be detained but her supervisor McDonald refuses. Hayes encounters the aliens in the docking bay and tries to weld the doors shut. As the\u00a0Brettonville<\/i>\u00a0leaves, McDonald and the control room staff are attacked and impregnated by facehuggers. Narrowly escaping, Hayes realizes that more Xenomorphs must be in\u00a0Brettonville’s<\/i>\u00a0remaining cargo and reluctantly activates the Cerberus Protocol, a Weyland-Yutani planetary quarantine procedure using armed satellites.\u00a0Brettonville<\/i>\u00a0and a cargo ship are destroyed while the\u00a0Otago<\/i>\u00a0is crippled. Hayes is saved by Sgt. Jonas Harper and his squad of Colonial Marines who escape to the crash-landed\u00a0Otago<\/i>. Harper is put in command and makes Hayes his Intelligence officer.\u00a0<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
