WWE 2K23<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is an upcoming 2023\u00a0professional wrestling<\/a>\u00a0sports<\/a>\u00a0video game developed by\u00a0Visual Concepts<\/a>\u00a0and published by\u00a02K Sports<\/a>.[1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0It is the twenty-third overall installment of the video game series based on\u00a0WWE<\/a>, the tenth game under the\u00a0WWE 2K<\/a><\/i>\u00a0banner, and the successor to\u00a0WWE 2K22<\/a><\/i>. The game is slated to be released on March 17, 2023, for\u00a0PlayStation 4<\/a>,\u00a0PlayStation 5<\/a>,\u00a0Windows<\/a>,\u00a0Xbox One<\/a>, and\u00a0Xbox Series X\/S<\/a>.[2]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n

Like the previous game,\u00a0WWE 2K23<\/i>\u00a0features a hybrid of arcade and simulation gameplay.[3]<\/a><\/sup>[4]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0WarGames<\/a>\u00a0makes its debut for the first time in any WWE 2K game, with online support added for the\u00a0Royal Rumble match<\/a>.[5]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Game modes such as MyFACTION, MyGM, Showcase, Universe, career mode MyRISE and a full creation suite return with new features.[6]<\/a><\/sup>[7]<\/a><\/sup>[8]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Showcase features cover star\u00a0John Cena<\/a>, allowing players to recreate the most notable losses in his career, featuring narration from Cena himself, which ends with three fictional matches, two matches where the player uses any of the eleven Superstars that defeated Cena during his career (including two versions of\u00a0The Undertaker<\/a>,\u00a0“The Rated R Superstar” Edge<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0“The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar<\/a>), hoping to defeat Cena one last time, both taking place on\u00a0Raw<\/a>, one where Cena wins easily by quickly using his finisher, the Attitude Adjustment, taking revenge on his loss the first (or second) time he faced in the process, and one against an invincible version of himself, known as “Super Cena”, considering it to take revenge on that chosen superstar’s loss against Cena, but more personally, that chosen superstar “can’t see him” as well, and a third and final match, where Cena faces off against\u00a0Bruno Sammartino<\/a>,\u00a0Hulk Hogan<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0“Stone Cold” Steve Austin<\/a>\u00a0in an\u00a0elimination match<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0Wrestlem<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
