Batman is ambushed in the\u00a0Batcave<\/a>\u00a0by Ra’s al Ghul and is mortally wounded. With no way to win, Batman seals himself and Ra’s in the Batcave and initiates the self-destruct protocol, killing them both. Batman’s death triggers a Code Black contingency, which summons Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood, and Robin. As his final act, Batman bequeaths a backup base called the Belfry as well as the files of all of his investigations, telling his students that Gotham will need them more than ever once the criminal underworld notices Batman has gone missing. Determined to carry on Batman’s will, the four heroes band together to form the Gotham Knights.<\/p>\n

Gotham Knights<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is an\u00a0action role-playing game<\/a>\u00a0developed by\u00a0WB Games Montr\u00e9al<\/a>\u00a0and published by\u00a0Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment<\/a>. Inspired by the\u00a0Batman: Gotham Knights<\/a><\/i>\u00a0comic series based on the\u00a0DC Comics<\/a>\u00a0character\u00a0Batman<\/a>\u00a0and his\u00a0supporting cast<\/a>, the game focuses on the characters\u00a0Nightwing<\/a>,\u00a0Batgirl<\/a>,\u00a0Robin<\/a>, and\u00a0Red Hood<\/a>\u00a0as they attempt to restore justice to\u00a0Gotham City<\/a>\u00a0during a period of decline in the immediate aftermath of Batman’s death. While investigating the events that led to their mentor’s demise, the heroes become embroiled in an ancient conflict between two\u00a0secret organizations<\/a>\u00a0fighting for control of Gotham: the\u00a0Court of Owls<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0League of Shadows<\/a>.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
