Uncharted<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is an\u00a0action-adventure<\/a>\u00a0video game<\/a>\u00a0franchise published by\u00a0Sony Interactive Entertainment<\/a>\u00a0and developed by\u00a0Naughty Dog<\/a>. Created by\u00a0Amy Hennig<\/a>, the\u00a0Uncharted<\/i>\u00a0franchise follows a group of\u00a0treasure hunters<\/a>\u00a0who travel across the world to uncover various historical mysteries. The series features\u00a0historical fiction<\/a>, elements of\u00a0fantasy<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0folklore<\/a>, and fictional characters alongside real-world historical figures and events. In the main series, players control\u00a0Nathan Drake<\/a>; in the\u00a0expansion<\/a>, players control\u00a0Chloe Frazer<\/a>. The franchise’s first game,\u00a0Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune<\/a><\/i>, was released in 2007 and has featured seven further titles, with the main series including the direct sequels\u00a0Uncharted 2: Among Thieves<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(2009),\u00a0Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(2011), and\u00a0Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(2016). Spin-offs\u00a0Uncharted: Golden Abyss<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(2011),\u00a0Uncharted: Fight for Fortune<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(2012), and the standalone expansion\u00a0Uncharted: The Lost Legacy<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(2017) also support the main series. Originally published exclusively for\u00a0PlayStation<\/a>\u00a0consoles, the franchise later released games for other platforms, with the\u00a0mobile<\/a>\u00a0spin-off\u00a0Uncharted: Fortune Hunter<\/i>\u00a0(2016) and\u00a0remasters<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0A Thief’s End<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0Lost Legacy<\/i>\u00a0for\u00a0Windows<\/a>\u00a0due in 2022.<\/p>\n

Gameplay in the\u00a0Uncharted<\/i>\u00a0series is a combination of\u00a0action-adventure<\/a>\u00a0elements and 3D\u00a0platforming<\/a>\u00a0with a\u00a0third-person perspective<\/a>. The player is given various physical tasks which must be completed to progress through the storyline, such as jumping, swimming, grabbing and moving along ledges, and climbing and swinging from ropes.[19]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Other aspects, including\u00a0shooting<\/a>, combat, and\u00a0puzzle<\/a>\u00a0solving, also regularly feature.
