It is the eighteenth Pixar feature film and the third installment in the Cars<\/i> film franchise<\/a>, following Cars 2<\/a><\/i> (2011). It is directed by Brian Fee<\/a>, a storyboard artist<\/a> on Cars<\/a><\/i> (2006) and Cars 2<\/i>, and stars the voices of Owen Wilson<\/a>, Cristela Alonzo<\/a>, Armie Hammer<\/a>, Bonnie Hunt<\/a>, Larry the Cable Guy<\/a>, Nathan Fillion<\/a>, Kerry Washington<\/a> and Lea DeLaria<\/a>.<\/sup>The film was released on June 16, 2017.<\/sup> It received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised the animation, voice actors, Randy Newman’s<\/a> musical score, subject matter, and many labeled it as an improvement over the predecessor, Cars 2<\/i>.<\/p>\n
