Pulimurugan<\/b><\/i> (English: Tiger-Murugan<\/i>) is a 2016 Indian Malayalam-language<\/a>action<\/a> adventure film<\/a> directed by Vysakh<\/a>, starring Mohanlal<\/a> in the titular role, and co-stars Kamalini Mukherjee<\/a>, Jagapati Babu<\/a>, Lal<\/a>, Vinu Mohan<\/a>, and Bala<\/a>. It is the first independent screenplay by Udayakrishna of the Udayakrishna and Siby K. Thomas<\/a> duo. The film is produced by Tomichan Mulakuppadam<\/a> of Mulakuppadam Films<\/a>. The score<\/a> and soundtrack<\/a> are composed by Gopi Sunder<\/a>, while cinematography<\/a> is handled by Shaji Kumar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Principal photography<\/a> commenced on 16 July 2015 in Hanoi<\/a>, Vietnam<\/a> and completed filming on early February 2016. The film was released in India on 7 October 2016. Made on a budget of \u20b925 crore<\/a>, Pulimurugan<\/i> so far has grossed over \u20b9152 crore<\/a> worldwide. It became the first film to cross \u20b9100 crore<\/a> mark and \u20b9150 crore<\/a> mark in the Malayalam film industry<\/a>, and is currently the highest-grossing Malayalam film ever<\/a> and the third highest-grossing South Indian<\/a> film of 2016.<\/p>\n

Murugan has a rivalry towards tigers from childhood. From childhood he gets trained to hunt tigers,which are danger to villagers. Now he is Pulimurugan, but he has to face the tigers as well as the dangerous humans, as he is forced to move out of forest. This forms the rest of the story.<\/div><\/div>\n
