The Mosquito Coast<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is an American\u00a0drama<\/a>\u00a0television series developed by\u00a0Neil Cross<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Tom Bissell<\/a>\u00a0based on\u00a0the novel of the same name<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0Paul Theroux<\/a>\u00a0published in 1981. It also loosely adapted from the\u00a01986 film<\/a>\u00a0which starred\u00a0Harrison Ford<\/a>. It premiered on\u00a0Apple TV+<\/a>\u00a0on April 30, 2021.[1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0The series stars\u00a0Justin Theroux<\/a>, nephew of Paul, and\u00a0Melissa George<\/a>\u00a0in lead roles, with Logan Polish and\u00a0Gabriel Bateman<\/a>\u00a0rounding out the main cast. Justin Theroux also serves as executive producer of the series, along with\u00a0Rupert Wyatt<\/a>\u00a0who directed the first two episodes. The first season of the series consists of seven episodes and concluded on June 4, 2021. In June 2021, the series was renewed for a second season.[2]<\/a><\/sup><\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
