Set in a\u00a0post-apocalyptic<\/a>\u00a0Oregon<\/a>\u00a0two years after the start of a global pandemic, former\u00a0outlaw<\/a>-turned-drifter Deacon St. John discovers the possibility of his wife Sarah still being alive, which leads Deacon on a quest to find her.\u00a0Days Gone<\/i>\u00a0is played from a\u00a0third-person perspective<\/a>, in which the player can explore an\u00a0open world<\/a>\u00a0environment. Players can use\u00a0firearms<\/a>,\u00a0melee weapons<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0improvised weapons<\/a>, and can use\u00a0stealth<\/a>\u00a0to defend against hostile humans and\u00a0cannibalistic<\/a>\u00a0creatures known as Freakers. A major game mechanic is Deacon’s\u00a0motorcycle<\/a>, which is used as the player character’s primary mode of transportation as well as mobile inventory.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
