Anno 1800<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is a\u00a0city-building<\/a>\u00a0real-time strategy<\/a>\u00a0video game<\/a>, developed by\u00a0Blue Byte<\/a>\u00a0and published by\u00a0Ubisoft<\/a>, and launched on April 16, 2019 in North America.[1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0It is the seventh game in the\u00a0Anno<\/a><\/i>\u00a0series, and returns to the use of a historical setting following the last two titles,\u00a0Anno 2070<\/a><\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0Anno 2205<\/a><\/i>, taking place during the\u00a0Industrial Revolution<\/a>\u00a0in the 19th century. Following the previous installment, the game returns to the series’ traditional city-building and ocean combat mechanics, but introduces new aspects of gameplay, such as tourism,\u00a0blueprinting<\/a>, and the effects of\u00a0industrialisation<\/a>\u00a0influences on island inhabitants.<\/p>\n

Anno 1800<\/i>\u00a0takes place in the 19th century at the dawn of the\u00a0Industrial Age<\/a>.[2]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Like other Anno series games,\u00a0Anno 1800<\/i>\u00a0is a city-building and strategy game. While it is set in the context of\u00a0colonial trade<\/a>, the featured architecture is\u00a0Victorian Era<\/a>\u00a0and the economic engine is\u00a0factory labor<\/a>. The\u00a0Anno 1800<\/i>\u00a0is set in the Old World, where the needs of the\u00a0citizens<\/a>, workers and\u00a0artisans<\/a>\u00a0are central to the management of\u00a0production<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0supply chains<\/a>. A parallel New World city exists, which produces products that\u00a0laborers<\/a>\u00a0in the Old World want to purchase, thus\u00a0trade routes<\/a>\u00a0need to be established. Unlike its colonial 18th century predecessor\u00a0Anno 1701<\/a><\/i>, the game has a blueprint feature[3]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0that helps the player to plan out the city.[4]<\/a><\/sup><\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
