OK Jaanu<\/b><\/i> (English: OK Darling<\/i>) is a 2017 Indian romantic drama<\/a> film directed by Shaad Ali<\/a>, story and screenplay by Mani Ratnam<\/a>. Produced by Mani Ratnam<\/a> and Karan Johar<\/a> under their banners Madras Talkies<\/a> and Dharma Productions<\/a> respectively. It is an official remake of Mani Ratnam<\/a>‘s Tamil film O Kadhal Kanmani<\/a><\/i> starring Dulquer Salmaan<\/a> and Nithya Menen<\/a>. The film stars Aditya Roy Kapur<\/a> and Shraddha Kapoor<\/a> in the lead roles, portraying a young couple in a live-in relationship<\/a> in Mumbai with Naseeruddin Shah<\/a> and Leela Samson<\/a> play supporting roles as an older couple in the film, portraying the younger couple’s landlords. A. R. Rahman<\/a> composed the film’s score and soundtrack. Gulzar<\/a> is the dialogue writer of this film. Gulzar has also provided the lyrics for the songs in the film.<\/p>\n

The first look was released on 29 February 2016. Principal photography commenced in March 2016.\u00a0The trailer of the film was released on 11 December 2016.\u00a0The filming has been officially wrapped up on 29 May 2016, with actress Shraddha Kapoor sharing a photo from the film’s set. The film had a worldwide release on 13 January 2017.<\/p>\n

Adi is a young game designer from Lucknow who dreams of emigrating to the US and living the American dream. At a chance encounter during his friend’s wedding, he meets Tara. She is a recent architecture school graduate working in an architecture firm. She dreams of going to Paris to pursue higher education. The cheerful banter soon gives way to a conversation where both Adi and Tara realize that they strongly feel that marriage isn’t for them and move in together until the time they go their separate ways when career comes calling. With only 10 days left and parting imminent, Adi & Tara are forced to confront some matters of the heart.<\/div><\/div>\n
