Total War Saga: Troy<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is a 2020\u00a0turn-based strategy<\/a>\u00a0video game developed by\u00a0Creative Assembly Sofia<\/a>\u00a0and published by\u00a0Sega<\/a>. The game was released for\u00a0Windows<\/a>\u00a0on 13 August 2020 as the second installment in the\u00a0Total War Saga<\/a><\/i>\u00a0subseries, succeeding\u00a0Thrones of Britannia<\/a><\/i>\u00a0(2018). The game received generally positive reviews upon release.<\/p>\n

Like its predecessors,\u00a0Total War Saga: Troy<\/i>\u00a0is a\u00a0turn-based strategy<\/a>\u00a0game with\u00a0real-time tactics<\/a>\u00a0elements. The game is set in the\u00a0Bronze Age<\/a>, during the\u00a0Trojan War<\/a>, though its scope also covers the surrounding Aegean civilization. Real-time battles take place in large sandboxes, and players can command the infantry, hero units as well as mystical beasts as they battle opponent forces. There are a total of eight heroes representing the two factions (the Trojans and the Achaeans), and each hero has two unique abilities that can be used during battles. As the player progress in the game, they can also build their relationship with the\u00a0Greek gods<\/a>. If the approval ratings with the Gods are high enough, the player would gain gameplay benefits.[1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Outside of battles, players also need to collect sufficient resources, such as wood, bronze and food, in order to keep the army running. Agents return in\u00a0Troy<\/i>, and players can send priests and spies to infiltrate hostile cities.[2]<\/a><\/sup><\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
