Microsoft Flight Simulator<\/b><\/i>\u00a0(colloquially known as\u00a0Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020<\/b><\/i>)[note 1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0is a\u00a0flight simulator<\/a>\u00a0developed by\u00a0Asobo Studio<\/a>\u00a0and published by\u00a0Xbox Game Studios<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0Microsoft Windows<\/a>,\u00a0Xbox One<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Xbox Series X<\/a>. It was released on August 18, 2020 for Microsoft Windows.[3]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0It is the eleventh major entry in the\u00a0Microsoft Flight Simulator<\/a><\/i>\u00a0series, preceded by\u00a0Flight Simulator X<\/a><\/i>.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Flight Simulator<\/i>\u00a0simulates the entire\u00a0Earth<\/a>\u00a0using textures and topographical data from\u00a0Bing Maps<\/a>. Three-dimensional representations of the world’s features, such as terrain, trees, grass, buildings, and water are generated by\u00a0Microsoft Azure<\/a>\u00a0technology. Through the use of the Azure cloud to render visuals, enhance visual fidelity, and simulate real-world data and effects, as well as calculate physics, the title has been viewed as the culmination of\u00a0Microsoft<\/a>‘s “power of the cloud” mantra.[3]<\/a><\/sup>[4]<\/a><\/sup>[5]<\/a><\/sup>[6]<\/a><\/sup>[7]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Some players received the Alpha version as part of the game’s Insider program.[8]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0On July 13, 2020, Microsoft opened up preorders, and the PC version became available on August 18, 2020.[9]<\/a><\/sup><\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
