Backlash<\/b>\u00a0was a\u00a0professional wrestling<\/a>\u00a0pay-per-view<\/a>\u00a0(PPV) and\u00a0WWE Network<\/a>\u00a0event<\/a>\u00a0produced by\u00a0WWE<\/a>\u00a0for their\u00a0Raw<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0SmackDown<\/a>\u00a0brand divisions<\/a>. It was broadcast on June 14, 2020 with all the matches taking place at the\u00a0WWE Performance Center<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0Orlando, Florida<\/a>. While the majority of the event\u00a0aired live<\/a>, the match between\u00a0Edge<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Randy Orton<\/a>\u00a0was\u00a0pre-recorded<\/a>\u00a0on June 7. It was the fifteenth event in the\u00a0Backlash<\/a>\u00a0chronology.<\/p>\n

T<\/span>he event was originally scheduled to take place in Kansas City, Missouri<\/a>; however, the event had to be moved due to the\u00a0COVID-19 pandemic<\/a>. Like WWE’s other shows since mid-March, Backlash was moved to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, though unlike the previous shows, Backlash was not announced until after the start of the pandemic, which made it WWE’s first PPV event to be announced during the pandemic.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
