Mafia II<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is an\u00a0open world<\/a>\u00a0action-adventure<\/a>\u00a0video game<\/a>\u00a0developed by\u00a02K Czech<\/a>\u00a0and published by\u00a02K Games<\/a>. It was released in August 2010 for the\u00a0PlayStation 3<\/a>,\u00a0Xbox 360<\/a>, and\u00a0Microsoft Windows<\/a>;[1]<\/a><\/sup>[2]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Mafia II: Director’s Cut<\/b><\/i>\u00a0was released by\u00a0Feral Interactive<\/a>\u00a0in December 2011.[3]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0The game is the sequel to 2002’s\u00a0Mafia<\/a><\/i>[4]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0and the second game in the\u00a0Mafia<\/i>\u00a0series<\/a>. Set within the fictional Empire Bay (based on\u00a0New York City<\/a>, as well as aspects of\u00a0Los Angeles<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Chicago<\/a>), the story follows Sicillian\u00a0mobster<\/a>\u00a0Vito Scaletta and his struggle to climb through the ranks of the\u00a0Mafia<\/a>\u00a0crime families<\/a>\u00a0in the city.<\/p>\n

<\/span>The game is set in the 1940s\u2013early 1950s era of Empire Bay, a fictional city based on\u00a0New York City<\/a>.[5]<\/a><\/sup>[6]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0There are 50 vehicles in the game as well as licensed music from the era.[7]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0Depending on the weather during the course of the game, vehicles are handled differently. For example, during the early chapters in winter, vehicles are more likely to slip on the road due to the ice.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
