Cities: Skylines<\/b><\/i>\u00a0is a\u00a0city-building game<\/a>\u00a0developed by\u00a0Colossal Order<\/a>\u00a0and published by\u00a0Paradox Interactive<\/a>. The game is a single-player open-ended\u00a0city-building simulation<\/a>. Players engage in\u00a0urban planning<\/a>\u00a0by controlling\u00a0zoning<\/a>,\u00a0road<\/a>\u00a0placement, taxation, public services, and\u00a0public transportation<\/a>\u00a0of an area. Players work to maintain various elements of the city, including its budget, health, employment, and pollution levels. Players are also able to maintain a city in a\u00a0sandbox<\/a>\u00a0mode, which provides more creative freedom for the player.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Players start with a plot of land – equivalent to a 2-by-2-kilometre (1.2\u00a0mi \u00d7\u00a01.2\u00a0mi) area[1]<\/a><\/sup>\u00a0– along with an interchange exit from a nearby highway, as well as a starting amount of in-game money. The player proceeds to add roads and residential, industrial, and commercial zones and basic services like power, water, and sewage as to encourage residents to move in and supply them with jobs.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
