Hotel Mumbai<\/b><\/i> is a 2018 biographical<\/a> thriller film<\/a> (released in Australia and USA in 2019) directed by Anthony Maras<\/a> and written by John Collee<\/a> and Maras. It is based on the 2009 documentary Surviving Mumbai<\/i> about the Mumbai attacks in 2008<\/a> at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel<\/a> in India. The film stars Dev Patel<\/a>, Armie Hammer<\/a>, Nazanin Boniadi<\/a>, Anupam Kher<\/a>, Tilda Cobham-Hervey<\/a>, Jason Isaacs<\/a>, Suhail Nayyar<\/a>, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo<\/a>. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival<\/a> on 7 September 2018, and had its Australian premiere at the Adelaide Film Festival<\/a> on 10 October 2018. It was theatrically released in Australia on 14 March 2019 and in the United States on 22 March 2019.<\/p>\n

Terror strikes in the heart of Mumbai, India, as members of Lashkar-e-Taiba storm the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in a series of coordinated attacks throughout the city. Amid the gunfire and mayhem, a brave chef and kitchen worker decide to risk their own lives to try and protect the frightened guests.
