Halo: The Master Chief Collection<\/b><\/i> is a compilation of first-person shooter<\/a> (FPS) video games in the Halo<\/i> series<\/a> for the Xbox One<\/a> and Windows<\/a>. Originally released for Xbox One on November 11, 2014, the collection was developed by 343 Industries<\/a> in partnership with other studios and was published by Xbox Game Studios<\/a>. The collection consists of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary<\/a><\/i>, Halo 2: Anniversary<\/i>, Halo 3<\/a><\/i>, Halo 3: ODST<\/a><\/i>, Halo 4<\/a><\/i>, and Halo: Reach<\/a><\/i>, which were originally released on earlier Xbox<\/a> platforms. Each game in the Master Chief Collection<\/i> received a graphical upgrade, with Halo 2<\/i> receiving a complete high-definition<\/a> redesign of its audio and cutscenes that are exclusive to the collection. The game includes access to the live-action<\/a> series Halo: Nightfall<\/a><\/i> as well as the Halo 5: Guardians<\/a><\/i> multiplayer beta<\/a> that was available for a limited time.<\/p>\n

The Master Chief Collection<\/i> consists of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary<\/a><\/i>, the anniversary edition of Halo 2<\/a><\/i>, Halo 3<\/a><\/i>, and Halo 4<\/a><\/i>, complete with their full catalog of extras, including all multiplayer maps<\/a> and gameplay modes.[4]<\/a><\/sup> There have been no story or gameplay changes to the original releases.[5]<\/a><\/sup> The games are first-person shooters<\/a> with vehicular combat that takes place from a third-person perspective. All four campaign modes can be played alone or cooperatively via split screen<\/a> or Xbox Live<\/a>. Each campaign has four difficulty levels<\/a> and access to gameplay modifiers known as “Skulls”.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
