Dil To Pagal Hai<\/b><\/i> (translation: The heart is crazy, Hindi pronunciation:\u00a0<\/small>[d\u032a\u026al t\u032ao\u02d0 pa\u02d0g\u0259l \u0266\u025b\u02d0]<\/a><\/span>), is a 1997<\/a> Indian musical<\/a> romantic film<\/a> directed by Yash Chopra<\/a>. The film follows the love lives of the members of a musical troupe, in which two dancers played by Madhuri Dixit<\/a> and Karisma Kapoor<\/a> compete for the love of a choreographer played by Shah Rukh Khan<\/a> with Akshay Kumar<\/a> appearing in a supporting role. The soundtrack was composed by Uttam Singh<\/a>, while the lyrics were written by Anand Bakshi<\/a>. The film was screened retrospective, during the 2014 International Film Festival of India<\/a> in the Celebrating Dance in Indian cinema<\/i> section.[2] \u00a0<\/a><\/sup>Made on a budget of \u20b990 million<\/span> (US$1.3\u00a0million), Dil To Pagal Hai<\/i> went on to gross over \u20b9712 million<\/span> (US$10\u00a0million) worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 1997.
