The Spy<\/b><\/i> is an English-language French espionage thriller television miniseries<\/a> written and directed by Israeli director Gideon Raff<\/a> and Max Perry based on the life of Israel<\/a>‘s top Mossad<\/a> spy Eli Cohen<\/a> in Syria<\/a>, portrayed by Sacha Baron Cohen<\/a>. The series is a co-production between Canal+<\/a> and Netflix<\/a>, with OCS<\/a> airing the show in France<\/a>, and Netflix<\/a> streaming the show internationally outside France.[1]<\/a><\/sup>[2]<\/a><\/sup>[3]<\/a><\/sup> The six-episode mini-series was released on September 6, 2019 on Netflix.
