Spyro Reignited Trilogy<\/b><\/i> is a platform video game<\/a> developed by Toys for Bob<\/a> and published by Activision<\/a>. It is a collection of remasters<\/a> of the first three games in the Spyro<\/a><\/i> series: Spyro the Dragon<\/a><\/i>, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!<\/a><\/i> and Spyro: Year of the Dragon<\/a><\/i>. The game was released for the PlayStation 4<\/a> and Xbox One<\/a> in November 2018, and for Microsoft Windows<\/a> and Nintendo Switch<\/a> in September 2019.<\/p>\n

Discussions around the revival of Spyro the Dragon<\/i> began as early as 2014. In July 2014, former Sony Computer Entertainment<\/a> chairman Andrew House<\/a> stated that his team was considering bringing Spyro<\/i> back, adding that he believed longtime fans would be interested in revisiting a character from their youth.[1]<\/a><\/sup> Later that same year, Insomniac Games<\/a> CEO Ted Price<\/a> also stated that making a new Spyro<\/i> game was a possibility.[2]<\/a><\/sup> In 2017, developer Vicarious Visions<\/a> stated that they were aware of how high the popular demand was for a revival of the classic Spyro<\/i> series following the release of their Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy<\/a><\/i> remaster.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
