Mission Mangal<\/b><\/i> (transl.<\/abbr>\u2009Mission Mars) is an upcoming Indian Hindi<\/a>-language science fiction<\/a>[2]<\/a><\/sup>[3]<\/a><\/sup> drama film<\/a> directed by Jagan Shakti and jointly produced by Akshay Kumar<\/a>, R. Balki<\/a>, Aruna Bhatia, and Anil Naidu. The film stars an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar<\/a>, Vidya Balan<\/a>, Taapsee Pannu<\/a>, Nithya Menen<\/a>, Kirti Kulhari<\/a>, Sharman Joshi<\/a>, H. G. Dattatreya<\/a> and Sonakshi Sinha<\/a> and is loosely based on the story of scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation<\/a> who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission<\/a>, which marked India’s first interplanetary expedition.[4] <\/a><\/sup>Principal photography for the film began in November 2018,[5]<\/a><\/sup>[6]<\/a><\/sup> and it is scheduled to be theatrically released in India on 15 August 2019.[1]<\/a><\/sup> In November 2018, a copyright infringement lawsuit was filed against the makers of the film by the filmmaker Radha Bharadwaj<\/a>.<\/sup><\/p>\n
