Bharat<\/b><\/i> (transl.<\/abbr>\u2009India)[a]<\/a><\/sup> is an upcoming Indian Hindi<\/a>-language period drama<\/a> film written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar<\/a>. It is jointly produced by Atul Agnihotri<\/a>, Alvira Khan Agnihotri<\/a>, Bhushan Kumar<\/a>, Krishan Kumar<\/a>, Nikhil Namit and Salman Khan<\/a> under the banners Reel Life Productions, Salman Khan Films<\/a> and T-Series<\/a>. The film stars Salman Khan<\/a>, Katrina Kaif<\/a>, Tabu<\/a>, Disha Patani<\/a>, and Jackie Shroff<\/a>. It traces India’s post-independence history from the perspective of a common man and follows his life from the age of 18 to 70. Based on the 2014 South Korean melodrama Ode to My Father<\/a><\/i>, principal photography<\/a> for Bharat<\/i> began in April 2018. The shooting took place at such locations as Abu Dhabi<\/a>, Spain<\/a>, Malta<\/a>, Punjab<\/a>, and Delhi<\/a>. Kaif joined the cast soon after Priyanka Chopra<\/a> opted out of the role after filming commenced, for her impending engagement to Nick Jonas<\/a>. Filming concluded in March 2019. The film’s soundtrack was composed by Vishal-Shekhar<\/a>, with lyrics written by Irshad Kamil<\/a>, and released under the banner T-Series.\u00a0Bharat<\/i> is scheduled to be theatrically released in India on 5 June 2019, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr<\/a>.<\/p>\n
