Double or Nothing<\/b> was a professional wrestling<\/a> pay-per-view<\/a> (PPV) event produced by All Elite Wrestling<\/a> (AEW). It took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena<\/a> in Las Vegas<\/a> suburb of Paradise, Nevada<\/a> on May 25, 2019. It was the inaugural event under the AEW banner.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Double or Nothing will feature professional wrestling matches<\/a> that involve different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines<\/a>. Wrestlers portray villains<\/a>, heroes<\/a>, or less distinguishable characters<\/a> in the scripted events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.[18]<\/a><\/sup> Storylines were produced on the YouTube<\/a> series, Being The Elite<\/a><\/i>, as well as at various independent wrestling shows. At AEW’s inaugural rally in Jacksonville, a match featuring SoCal Uncensored<\/a> (Christopher Daniels<\/a>, Frankie Kazarian<\/a>, and Scorpio Sky<\/a>) against Oriental Wrestling Entertainment<\/a>‘s (OWE) Cima<\/a> and two partners of his choosing was announced for Double or Nothing after SoCal Uncensored challenged Cima to a match.[19]<\/a><\/sup>[20]<\/a><\/sup> On March 3, OWE announced a tag team tournament to determine who Cima’s partners would be.[21]<\/a><\/sup>[22]<\/a><\/sup> On May 6, it was announced that Cima would team with T-Hawk<\/a> and El Lindaman<\/a>.[23]<\/a><\/sup><\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
