Love Aaj Kal<\/b><\/i> (transl.<\/abbr>\u2009’Love nowadays’) is a 2009 Indian Hindi<\/a>-language romantic comedy<\/a>–drama film<\/a> starring Saif Ali Khan<\/a> and Deepika Padukone<\/a> in lead roles[3]<\/a><\/sup> with Rahul Khanna<\/a>, Rishi Kapoor<\/a>, and Giselli Monteiro<\/a> in supporting roles.[4]<\/a><\/sup> The film is directed by Imtiaz Ali<\/a> and produced by Saif Ali Khan<\/a> and Dinesh Vijan<\/a>. The film portrays the feeling of pure love which never changes, although the perspective of realising one’s soulmate has changed over time. Although there was a lot of pre-release speculation that the film was a remake of the 2005 Taiwanese film, Three Times<\/a><\/i>, post-release reviews have proven that this is not the case.[5]<\/a><\/sup> This film was remade into Telugu<\/a> as Teen Maar<\/a><\/i> with Pawan Kalyan<\/a> and Trisha Krishnan<\/a> in lead roles.[6] <\/a><\/sup>Its spiritual successor<\/a> yet untitled<\/a> film directed by Imtiaz Ali<\/a> starring Kartik Aaryan<\/a>, Sara Ali Khan<\/a>, and Randeep Hooda<\/a> in the leading roles began filming in second half of March 2019.
