Assassination<\/b><\/i> (Hangul<\/a>:\u00a0\uc554\uc0b4<\/span>; Hanja<\/a>:\u00a0\u6697\u6bba<\/span>; RR<\/a>:\u00a0Amsal<\/i><\/i>) is a 2015 South Korean espionage<\/a> action film<\/a> co-written and directed by Choi Dong-hoon<\/a>.[5]<\/a><\/sup>[6]<\/a><\/sup>[7]<\/a><\/sup>[8]<\/a><\/sup>[9]<\/a><\/sup>[10]<\/a><\/sup>[11]<\/a><\/sup>[12]<\/a><\/sup>[13]\u00a0<\/a><\/sup>The film is currently the eighth-highest-grossing movie in Korean film history<\/a> with over 12.7 million admissions. \u00a0In 1911, during Japan’s rule over Korea<\/a>, a resistance fighter named Yem Sek-jin tries but fails to assassinate the governor-general and a pro-Japanese businessman named Kang In-guk. That evening, Kang discovers that his own wife was helping Yem. Kang kills his wife but a wet nurse runs off with one of his twin daughters<\/a>. By 1933, there are over 30 Korean independence factions<\/a> operating in Korea<\/a>, China<\/a>, and Manchuria<\/a>. Yem has become a captain in one of these factions, but his colleagues are unaware that he is secretly reporting to the Japanese<\/a>, since back in 1911 he was tortured by the Japanese into submission<\/a>. Yem meets with some Korean politicians<\/a> in Hangzhou<\/a>, including Kim Koo<\/a> and Kim Won-bong<\/a>, and is asked to gather three delinquent resistance members\u2014Big Gun, Duk-sam, and Ahn Okyun\u2014so they can enter Seoul<\/a> and assassinate Kang, along with a general named Kawaguchi Mamoru. After bringing them to Shanghai<\/a>, however, Yem sells this information to the Japanese. The Japanese attempt to find Ahn, but a skilled contract-killer<\/a> named Hawaii Pistol decides, on the spur of the moment, to pretend that Ahn is his wife, allowing her to elude the soldiers.<\/p>\n

While Korea is occupied by the Japanese Army in 1933, the resistance plans to kill the Japanese Commander. But their plan is threatened by a traitor within their group and also the enemies’ forces are hunting them down.<\/div><\/div><\/span><\/p>\n
