Happy Death Day 2U<\/b><\/i> is a 2019 American sci-fi<\/a> slasher film<\/a> written and directed by Christopher Landon<\/a>. It stars Jessica Rothe<\/a>, Israel Broussard<\/a>, Phi Vu, Rachel Matthews, Suraj Sharma<\/a> and Ruby Modine<\/a>. The film again follows Tree Gelbman (Rothe), who is accidentally transported to another dimension, where she must relive a different version of the same day repeatedly as she tries to return home, while a new killer is on the loose.[2]<\/a><\/sup> The film is a sequel to 2017’s Happy Death Day<\/a><\/i>, with Jason Blum<\/a> again serving as a producer through his Blumhouse Productions<\/a> company. The film was released on February 13, 2019, by Universal Pictures<\/a>. Critics praised Rothe’s performance, as well as the film’s shift to a more sci-fi tone, although some noted it as derivative of the first film.<\/p>\n
