Dev<\/b><\/i> is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language<\/a> romantic<\/a> action<\/a> drama film<\/a> based on road adventure written and directed by Rajath Ravishankar on his directorial debut. The\u00a0<\/sup><\/sup>film stars Karthi<\/a> and Rakul Preet Singh<\/a> in the main lead prominent roles while Karthik<\/a>, Prakash Raj<\/a>, Vamsi Krishna<\/a> and Ramya Krishnan<\/a> play supportive and pivotal roles in the film.[3]<\/a><\/sup>[4]<\/a><\/sup> Harris Jayaraj<\/a> has been roped into score music for the film while cinematography is handled by R. Velraj<\/a> and editing is done by Anthony L. Ruben<\/a>.[5]<\/a><\/sup>The film marks the first collaboration between Karthi and music director Harris Jayaraj.[6]<\/a><\/sup> The movie has a budget of over 50 crores while it has been simultaneously dubbed in Telugu language<\/a>.[7]<\/a><\/sup> The film was earlier scheduled to have its theatrical release on 21 December on the eve of Christmas<\/a> but was postponed to have its theatrical release on 14 February 2019 on the eve of Valentine’s Day<\/a> post Thai Pongal<\/a> due to tight race at the box office.[8]<\/a><\/sup>[9]<\/a><\/sup>[10]<\/a><\/sup>[11]<\/a><\/sup> The film was released on 14th February 2019 and received mostly mixed reviews from the audience.
