The film stars <a title=\"Dileepan\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dileepan\">Dileepan<\/a> and <a title=\"Amala Rose Kurian\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Amala_Rose_Kurian\">Amala Rose Kurian<\/a> in the lead roles while <a title=\"Yogi Babu\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yogi_Babu\">Yogi Babu<\/a> play supportive roles in the film.<sup id=\"cite_ref-1\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kuthoosi#cite_note-1\">[1]<\/a><\/sup> The film was released on 25 January 2019 clashing with <i><a title=\"Charlie Chaplin 2\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Charlie_Chaplin_2\">Charlie Chaplin 2<\/a><\/i> and <a title=\"Simba (2019 film)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Simba_(2019_film)\"><i>Simba<\/i><\/a> on the same date and opened to mostly average reviews from the critics.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#4ce599;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#66ffb3;border-color:#ffffff;color:#101010;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\">The film revolves around the hardships faced by farmers who struggle to make impact in their lives and to make their ends meet. Vel (Dileepan) who hails from Kalladakurichi isn&#8217;t interested in his father&#8217;s occupation of farming and plans to settle in the US. He borrows money from his girlfriend (Amala) and goes to Chennai in search for a job. After obtaining a job in an US based company in Chennai, he comes back to village and tell his parents about his plans of taking them too along with him. However his father&#8217;s sudden demise spoils all of his plans and later he was compelled and pressured by his mother and his girlfriend to take up farming and to fulfill his father&#8217;s dream of turning their land into a fertile one.
