Kevin Spacey<\/a> stars as Lester Burnham, a 42-year-old advertising executive who has a midlife crisis<\/a> when he becomes infatuated with his teenage daughter’s best friend (played by Mena Suvari<\/a>). Annette Bening<\/a> co-stars as Lester’s materialistic wife, and Thora Birch<\/a> plays their insecure daughter. Wes Bentley<\/a>, Chris Cooper<\/a>, and Allison Janney<\/a> also feature as the son, father, and mother next door, respectively.
