Vice<\/b><\/i> is a 2018 American biographical<\/a> comedy-drama<\/a> film written and directed by Adam McKay<\/a>. The film stars Christian Bale<\/a> as Dick Cheney<\/a>,[4]<\/a><\/sup> with Amy Adams<\/a>, Steve Carell<\/a>, Sam Rockwell<\/a>, Tyler Perry<\/a>, Alison Pill<\/a>, and Jesse Plemons<\/a> in supporting roles. The plot follows Cheney in his desire to become the most powerful Vice President<\/a> in America’s history.[5]<\/a><\/sup>[6]<\/a><\/sup> It is the second theatrical film to depict the presidency of George W. Bush<\/a>, following Oliver Stone<\/a>‘s W.<\/a><\/i>, and the third collaboration between Bale and Adams, following The Fighter<\/a><\/i> and American Hustle<\/a><\/i>. The film was announced in November 2016, with McKay set to write and direct. Bale signed on to play Cheney in April 2017, and much of the cast joined throughout the rest of the year.<\/p>\n
