It stars Henry Fonda<\/a>, cast against type<\/a>, as the villain,[9]<\/a><\/sup> Charles Bronson<\/a> as his nemesis, Claudia Cardinale<\/a> as a newly widowed homesteader<\/a>, and Jason Robards<\/a> as a bandit. The screenplay was written by Sergio Donati<\/a> and Leone, from a story by Dario Argento<\/a>, Bernardo Bertolucci<\/a> and Leone. The widescreen cinematography was by Tonino Delli Colli<\/a>, and the acclaimed film score<\/a> was by Ennio Morricone<\/a>.<\/p>\n
