Sonchiriya (transl. the golden bird; Hindi pronunciation: [soːntʃɪɾɛːjaː]) is a 2019 Indian action film^[5]^[6]^[7] directed by Abhishek Chaubey and starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Bhumi Pednekar, Manoj Bajpayee, Ranvir Shorey and Ashutosh Rana. The film presents a rooted tale set in Chambal. ^[8]^[9] The film was released on 1 March 2019 to very less screens i.e. 720 in India and 220 in overseas circuit, making it 940 screens worldwide.^[10] The film had generally positive reviews from critics.

Set in the Chambal valley, the film follows the story of a legion of dreaded, warring dacoits who once terrorized the Indian heartlands.
