The Jungle Book (2016)

The Jungle Book is a 2016 American fantasy adventure film directed by Jon Favreau who co-produced with Brigham Taylor, written by Justin Marks and produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Based on Rudyard Kipling‘seponymous collective works and inspired by Walt Disney‘s 1967 animated film of the same name, The Jungle Book is a live-action/CGI film that tells the story of Mowgli, an orphaned human boy who, guided by his animal guardians, sets out on a journey of self-discovery while evading the threatening Shere Khan. The film introduces Neel Sethi as Mowgli and also features the voices of Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o,Scarlett Johansson, Giancarlo Esposito, and Christopher Walken.

Raised by a family of wolves since birth, Mowgli (Neel Sethi) must leave the only home he’s ever known when the fearsome tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba) unleashes his mighty roar. Guided by a no-nonsense panther (Ben Kingsley) and a free-spirited bear (Bill Murray), the young boy meets an array of jungle animals, including a slithery python and a smooth-talking ape. Along the way, Mowgli learns valuable life lessons as his epic journey of self-discovery leads to fun and adventure.
